Job summary

Moody's Investors Service is seeking a senior valuation professional to lead the data valuation for blended products, combining rigorous analysis with market benchmarks to determine dataset value and defensible royalty ranges.

You will gather and synthesize product performance, pricing, and customer insights, influence cross-functional teams, and document methodologies for governance and risk reviews, with emphasis on accuracy, transparency, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or related field.
• Experience in data licensing, royalties, transfer pricing, or regulated data environments; CFA/ASA/CPA advantageous.
• 7+ years in valuation, financial analysis, data products, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead valuation analysis for data within blended products.
• Define scope with use cases, customers, pricing, and decisions to support.
• Assess datasets' contribution to revenue, cost, and go-to-market value.
• Apply valuation methods and establish defensible ranges.
• Prepare valuation memoranda with supporting calculations.
• Maintain decision records for governance and audit.
