Job summary

The Rugby Football Union (RFU) seeks a Transformation and Data Projects Manager to drive digital transformation, data adoption, and benefits realisation across the organisation.

Reporting to the Transformation and Data Director, you will manage delivery using best practice methodologies, collaborate with teams and partners, and embed new tools to support Plan 2030 and long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

• Essential experience leading or supporting large-scale digital and data transformation with measurable value.
• Strong programme and project management skills, including scope, timelines, budget, and quality.
• Experience in both agile and waterfall delivery environments.
• Experience supporting organisational change, including stakeholder engagement, training, comms, and change-impact assessment.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills to interpret data and guide decisions.
• Understanding of financial and management accounting.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering transformation and data goals and increasing digital adoption across the organisation.
• Lead change-management activities and ensure people, processes, and behaviours evolve with new tools.
• Collaborate with Internal Communications to craft clear, engaging messages about new ways of working.
• Build digital and data confidence through hands-on support, coaching, and capability-building activities.
• Maintain an organisation-wide view of milestones, dependencies, risks, and governance.
