Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Test Lead as this role sits within a large-scale Investment Management transformation programme and focuses on ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of data throughout the end-to-end data lifecycle. The Data Test Lead will be responsible for defining and implementing the data testing strategy, leading a multi-vendor team, and collaborating closely with various stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Proven Data Testing experience on large/complex programmes
• Investment Management/Asset Servicing experience (knowledge and understanding of Asset Classes, Investment processes, Portfolio Management etc), either through industry or programme delivery
• Understanding of the use cases and applications of data within Investment Management (in particular, data attributes for asset types)
• Test management tool proficiency (JIRA/HP ALM)
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication

Good to Have Experience:

• A proven track record in a top tier consultancy
• Exposure to Investment Management/Asset Management platforms

Deliverables

• Planning, coordinating, facilitating, and conducting data testing as part of wider Integration Testing with Front, Middle and Back Office
• Leading a multi-vendor team across multiple phases of testing (SIT/UAT/NFT/Regression), with competing priorities
• Working with the overall Programme Test Manager (and other Test Leads) to build a tailored E2E test approach, clearly calling out risks and effectively managing dependencies.
• Developing a specific Data testing strategy, defining which data elements for each asset classes are relevant and how data transformation logic will be tested E2E (across FO, MO and BO)
• Collaborating closely with other build workstreams in the data space to define what data is available, determine what should be delivered to the client, and define simple checks to conduct in the data before sharing with the client.
• Understanding the different types of data used within Investment Management, combined with knowledge/experience within Investment Management
• Collaborating with end clients to address any queries around data testing
• Overseeing Data-specific defects across all phases, providing input on validity of said defects, and supporting fix teams/clients, where required.
• Support with programme reporting and be able to articulate testing progress to senior testing and programme stakeholders.
• An awareness of automation and its benefits within data testing
