Job summary

Green Sheep Group is seeking an experienced Data & Systems Manager to own the systems, integrations and data architecture underpinning the business. You will translate stakeholder needs into a practical technology roadmap, build scalable integrations, and improve data governance across departments.

You will lead end-to-end system implementations, upgrades and migrations, partner with external providers, and evaluate new technologies including AI to create business value.

Qualifications

• Experience owning or managing business systems within a retail, ecommerce, consumer goods or similarly fast-moving organisation.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing and supporting integrations in a production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks and authentication methods (API keys, OAuth 2.0).
• Experience of data transformation and mapping between systems, including validation, pagination, rate limits, failures, retries and duplicates.
• Confidence working with SQL, relational databases and data models.
• Understanding of cloud or serverless technologies used to host and run integrations.
• Track record of turning findings into pragmatic roadmaps and leading implementations to adoption.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test, deploy and maintain bespoke SaaS integrations using APIs and webhooks across ERP, ecommerce, CRM, WMS, finance, product information, customer service and BI systems.
• Replace third-party connectors with in-house integrations where beneficial.
• Build secure, resilient integrations with monitoring, logging and alerting.
• Diagnose and resolve integration failures, data-flow issues and system dependencies; provide hands-on systems administration as needed.
• Improve data quality, accessibility and governance across the organisation.
• Develop reporting and management information capabilities for timely insights.
• Establish controls around access, data protection, cyber security, backup and business continuity.
• Deliver a three-to-five-year roadmap aligned with commercial plans and lead migrations.
