Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead data architecture across large-scale, complex digital programmes in a hybrid working environment. You will shape data models, governance and enterprise-wide solutions, influencing technology decisions to align with organisational goals.

The role offers a pay scale up to £79,501 plus a 28.97% employer pension, flexible hours, and a strong focus on data-driven services and security.

Qualifications

• Expertise in data architecture design, modelling, patterns, tools and standards.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, Master Data Management (MDM), metadata management and data governance.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, including pub-sub and data streaming patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud hosting, containerisation and networking, including AWS, Azure and GCP. Application of Agile, DevOps, CI and CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture across multiple products, services and programmes.
• Shape data models, metadata frameworks and governance artefacts.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Data Architects and multidisciplinary teams.
