We're partnering with a leading organisation undergoing a significant enterprise-wide data transformation to appoint an experienced Data Squad Delivery Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an agile delivery professional to take on a high-impact leadership role, overseeing multiple cross-functional Data squads and ensuring delivery remains aligned with strategic priorities, business objectives and wider transformation goals.

We're particularly interested in candidates with experience leading agile delivery across complex data, analytics or technology programmes, who can combine strategic oversight with effective stakeholder management and operational delivery.

The Opportunity

As Data Squad Delivery Manager, you'll provide leadership and oversight across multiple Data squads, coordinating delivery activities, managing dependencies and ensuring consistent adoption of agile and product-led ways of working.

Working closely with Data Product Managers, Squad Delivery Leads, Architects and senior stakeholders, you'll play a pivotal role in driving delivery performance, improving collaboration and supporting the development of scalable, governed Data Products.

This is a delivery-focused leadership role requiring someone who can navigate complex technical environments, influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in driving successful data delivery by:

• Leading agile delivery across multiple cross-functional Data squads, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and programme objectives.
• Overseeing Squad Delivery Leads and delivery teams, promoting consistent agile practices, delivery standards and ways of working.
• Coordinating sprint, quarterly and programme-level planning to ensure effective prioritisation and delivery alignment.
• Identifying, managing and resolving cross-squad risks, blockers and dependencies to maintain delivery momentum.
• Monitoring delivery performance, team capacity and progress against agreed roadmaps and milestones.
• Building strong relationships with Data Product Managers, Architects, Engineering teams and senior business stakeholders.
• Driving the adoption of agile methodologies, product-led delivery principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Ensuring effective delivery governance, reporting and communication across squads and wider programmes.
• Supporting alignment with technical architecture, engineering standards, data governance and security requirements.
• Coaching delivery teams and promoting a collaborative, accountable and high-performing working environment.

About You

You will be an experienced Delivery Manager with a strong background in agile delivery, excellent leadership capabilities and the ability to coordinate complex data and technology programmes across multiple teams.

You will also have:

• Proven experience leading agile delivery at scale across multiple technical, data or analytics squads.
• Strong experience coordinating cross-functional delivery within complex technology or data transformation programmes.
• Excellent understanding of agile methodologies, product-led delivery models and delivery governance.
• Experience managing cross-team risks, dependencies, blockers and competing delivery priorities.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
• Experience working collaboratively with Engineering, Architecture, Analytics and business teams.
• Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to drive continuous improvement and effective delivery outcomes.

Desirable experience includes:

• Experience working within cloud-based data and analytics environments, including AWS, Databricks and Lakehouse architectures.
• Familiarity with Tableau reporting and analytics solutions.
• Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality and associated delivery standards.
• Knowledge of SAP data environments, including SAP BW, Datasphere or S/4HANA.
• Experience within retail, merchandising, planning, supply chain or customer analytics environments.
