Job summary

The Bermuda Monetary Authority seeks an Associate Specialist in Data Solutions to advance supervisory analytics for insurance, funds and corporate authorisations. You will build ML-enabled risk models, dashboards and automated data pipelines, ensuring data quality and governance across solvency, liquidity and capital adequacy assessments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in actuarial science, data science, computer science, artificial intelligence or related field, or bachelor’s with actuarial/data/CS/AI qualifications and substantial experience.
• Minimum 7 years in advanced analytics, risk modelling, supervision or data science in financial services or regulated environments.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques in real-world analytical or risk contexts.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data/AI tooling.
• Experience with data automation, workflow orchestration, or analytics engineering.
• Knowledge of insurance and insurance supervision (P&C).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, decision-oriented insights.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver advanced risk analytics frameworks for supervisory decision‑making.
• Apply ML/AI to identify emerging risks and trends.
• Develop decision intelligence tools, dashboards, risk indicators and early warning systems.
• Create data visualisations and dashboards for executive and supervisory use.
• Translate analytical outputs into actionable insights for senior management and regulators.
• Establish robust data validation and QA processes, automated checks, and anomaly detection.
• Govern data integrity and reconciliation practices across supervisory analytics.
• Build automated data pipelines and reporting workflows for efficiency and auditability.
• Develop scalable analytical models for solvency, liquidity and capital adequacy assessment.
• Leverage AI-assisted analytics to streamline regulatory filings processing.
• Support risk reviews with data-driven insights and scenario analysis.
• Integrate structured and unstructured data into dashboards and platforms.
• Collaborate to embed data visualisation standards across the department.
• Prepare high-impact reports and interactive dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support supervision processes such as colleges, risk assessments and onsite visits.
