Job summary

Arup is seeking a Data Security Service Lead to establish and own Arup’s new Data Security service. You will define the vision, operating model and roadmap, then build the team and governance to embed data protection across the firm.

You’ll work with senior stakeholders and technical teams to turn strategy into measurable delivery, shaping priorities and monitoring data risks across the lifecycle. You will lead cross-functional efforts to implement classification, DLP, encryption and resilience

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in data security, including data classification, DLP, encryption, and data lifecycle protection.
• Familiar with ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Controls.
• Proven track record leading a global or enterprise-scale security service.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the Data Security Service: vision, roadmap, operating model and success metrics.
• Translate the Data Security Plan into a prioritised multi-year delivery roadmap.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and technical teams to turn data security strategy into delivery.
• Establish governance and build the Data Security team to embed data protection across the organisation.
