Job summary

Arup is seeking a Data Security Service Lead to stand up and own Arup’s new Data Security service. You will define vision, operating model and roadmap, building the team and governance to embed data protection across the firm.

You’ll collaborate with Cyber peers and senior stakeholders to translate strategy into sustained delivery, shaping priorities and ensuring data protection throughout its lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in data security including classification, DLP and encryption.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF and CIS Controls.
• Experience leading a global or enterprise-scale security service or capability.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

Responsibilities

• Own the Data Security Service, including vision, roadmap, operating model and success measures.
• Translate the Data Security Plan into a clear multi-year delivery roadmap across governance, classification, DLP, encryption, monitoring and resilience.
• Lead governance and embed data protection across the organisation in collaboration with Cyber peers and senior stakeholders.
• Turn data security strategy into sustained delivery and provide guidance on complex data risks.
