Qualifications

• 5-10 years in Data Security, DLP or Information Protection.
• Hands-on with DLP policies: creation, configuration, testing, tuning.
• Experience investigating and responding to DLP alerts and security incidents.
• Experience supporting data protection compliance, audit and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain DLP policies and controls.

Job Title: Data Security Analyst / DLP Specialist

Location: Sheffield Hybrid (No mandatory office attendance requirement)

We are currently looking for an experienced Data Security Analyst / DLP Specialist to join a team responsible for protecting sensitive data and supporting Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain DLP policies and controls.
• Create, test, review and fine-tune DLP policies to improve effectiveness and reduce false positives.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to DLP alerts, incidents and data security events.
• Analyse data loss incidents and work with relevant teams to support timely resolution and remediation.
• Support data protection, compliance and audit activities.
• Work closely with business users, security teams, infrastructure teams and other stakeholders to resolve DLP-related issues.
• Support the ongoing improvement and optimisation of DLP tools, processes and controls.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Data Security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) or Information Protection.
• Strong hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies:
• Proofpoint
• Microsoft Information Protection (MIP)
• Microsoft Purview
• Proven experience in DLP policy creation, configuration, testing and tuning.
• Strong experience investigating and responding to DLP alerts and security incidents.
• Experience supporting data protection compliance, audit and governance requirements.
