Job summary

HOK Consulting - Technical Recruitment Consultancy seeks an experienced Data Security Analyst / DLP Specialist in Sheffield. Hybrid work arrangement with no mandatory office attendance, focusing on protecting sensitive data and supporting DLP capabilities in a regulated environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with DLP policies, Proofpoint, and Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) / Purview, along with strong incident response and data governance skills.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in Data Security, DLP or Information Protection.
• Hands-on with DLP policies: creation, configuration, testing, tuning.
• Experience investigating and responding to DLP alerts and security incidents.
• Experience supporting data protection compliance, audit and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement and maintain DLP policies and controls.
• Create, test, review and fine-tune DLP policies to reduce false positives.
• Monitor, investigate and respond to DLP alerts, incidents and events.
• Analyse data loss incidents and support remediation and timely resolution.
• Support data protection, compliance and audit activities.
• Collaborate with business and security teams to resolve DLP issues.
• Support ongoing improvement and optimisation of DLP tools and processes.
