Job summary

PE Global is recruiting a Data Scientist for a leading multinational manufacturing client in Desford. This is a 12‑month on‑site contract, working 5 days a week, with a pay rate of £19.13 PAYE or £26.20 Umbrella.

You will build and maintain dashboards in Power BI, analyse datasets, and work with Purchasing and cross‑functional teams to deliver data‑driven insights. Proficiency in Python, R or SQL and experience with PowerApps, SharePoint and Tableau/Power BI are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of data science experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL for data analysis.
• Strong statistics and data visualization skills.
• Experience using PowerApps, SharePoint and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain live dashboards and reports for the team.
• Prepare datasets using safe data capture methods and PowerApps.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and cross‑functional teams to derive insights.
• Extract information from internal systems using SQL or EDFL into Power BI.
• Develop lean data processes and document findings for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Train team members on new tools and reports and stay updated on trends.
