Job summary

Monks is seeking a Data Scientist to contribute to digital marketing solutions through statistical methods, data mining and data engineering. You will work with Analytics, Media Account Management and Technical Solutions Engineering to build propensity models, segmentation, churn and recommendations.

You will participate in all stages of research, development and execution—from data discovery to model deployment and client-ready insights—delivering data-driven outcomes for assigned clients.

Qualifications

• MSc or higher in a quantitative STEM subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics.
• Proven experience articulating, translating, and solving business problems through data.
• Hands-on experience in model deployment, governance, and workflow optimization (MLOps).
• 3+ years of experience in data science (statistical modeling, ML for forecasting/classification/optimization).
• Experience using Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience using SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery or similar databases.
• Ability to explain analytics methods/results to non-technical stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.
• Willingness to teach others and learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Nurture client understanding of data-driven strategies and their impact.
• Use predictive modeling to enhance customer experiences, revenue, ad targeting and more.
• Develop models with Python/R and deploy them in production.
• Deploy cloud resources (Azure, AWS, GCP) for large-scale analyses.
• Create ML pipelines from data wrangling to production.
• Explain data and models using Power BI/Tableau/Looker to clients/teams.
• Mine data to support information models and test project hypotheses.
• Design experiments ensuring data cleanliness and statistical significance.
• Act as consultative resource to improve client testing processes.
• Participate in discovery, feasibility analyses, planning, and estimations.
• Manage projects with deadlines, roadmaps, priorities, and milestones.
