Introduction to the team

The TEaL (Traveler Engagement and Loyalty) Analytics team is part of the broader Traveler & Marketing Analytics group. We focus on solving complex analytical and business problems using statistics and data analytics, with a particular interest in marketing analytics to drive positive change.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining methods and tools to optimize marketing campaigns and resource allocation. This includes designing and analyzing A/B tests, creating testing methodologies, and applying machine learning techniques to predict outcomes where testing isn't feasible.

Collaboration

You will work closely with data scientists across Expedia Group, digital marketing teams, and colleagues in Finance and Product to deliver insights and solutions.

Key activities
  • Utilize SQL, Python, or R daily
  • Translate business problems into analytical questions and select appropriate methodologies

  • Apply suitable analytical approaches, favoring iterative and efficient delivery
  • Manage multiple tasks and projects end-to-end
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R; experience with PySpark is a plus
  • Knowledge of statistical and modeling techniques
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex ideas
  • Business acumen and critical reasoning skills
