Introduction to team:
The TEaL (Traveler Engagement and Loyalty) Analytics team sits within the Traveler & Marketing Analytics team, working on tackling sophisticated analytical and business problems with a focus on statistics and data analytics. In this role, your keen interest in marketing analytics will help us solve tough problems and influence positive change.
You will be responsible for devising, developing and maintaining methods and tools to help optimize our marketing campaigns and capital allocation process. This could involve designing and analyzing A/B tests, developing testing methodologies to gather insight from a marketing test, or using machine learning methods to help predict returns where testing is not possible.
You will work closely with other highly-skilled data scientists across Expedia Group, partnering with our digital marketing teams, as well as colleagues across Finance and Product.

We are looking for a hardworking, independent, and driven Data Scientist I to join the CRM Testing and Analytics team to support the Traveler Engagement and Loyalty (TEaL) organization. You will provide powerful insights that shape the way we market, engage and incentivize our traveler base. As an Individual Contributor you will partner closely with your stakeholders and contribute to the improvement of many different areas within CRM including: the set-up and analysis of A/B tests, exploratory deep dives into traveler behavior, and devising novel frameworks and methods to test when traditional methods are not possible. You will also have the opportunity to produce and deliver presentations to influence the thinking of senior leadership in the TEaL organization.
