BRUSH Group is hiring a Data Scientist to join the Group IT Data & AI team. You will design, develop and deploy BI, advanced analytics, ML models and AI solutions.

The role blends statistics, data science and business acumen to deliver measurable operational or commercial value. You will own use cases across the lifecycle from problem definition to deployment and monitoring, influencing governance and adoption across the Group.

Qualifications

• Degree in Data Science or related numerate discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of continued professional development in BI, data science, analytics, ML, AI.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, experimental techniques and ML principles.
• Advanced data science and analytics capability with ability to turn business challenges into measurable outcomes.
• Strong Python and SQL skills across exploration, feature engineering, modelling and validation; experience with Spark and cloud platforms.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modelling, classification, clustering and optimisation for production ML.
• Experience helping a growing data function establish standards, governance and best practices.
• Proven success in a Data Scientist role delivering measurable operational or commercial value.
• End-to-end experience defining, building, deploying and monitoring ML/analytics in production.

Responsibilities

• Translate business challenges into BI, analytics, statistics and ML solutions.
• Identify patterns and opportunities in complex datasets to support decisions.
• Develop, validate and deploy predictive and AI solutions delivering measurable value.
• Develop and maintain governed, trusted datasets for BI/analytics use cases.
• Ensure data quality, lineage and governance across the analytical lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure pipelines meet reporting and modelling needs.
• Contribute to data model design to support analytics and ML.
• Prepare, cleanse, transform and feature engineer data for analytics and AI use cases.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation and decision making with analytics and AI.
