Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead the Financial Crime Data team within the UK. You will collaborate with Product, Risk and Engineering to champion the data strategy and guide a cross-functional group of Data Scientists and Analysts.

You will hire, mentor and drive data-driven decisions while advancing the team's capabilities in detection, prevention and mitigation of financial crime through rigorous analytics and experimentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a Data Science Manager including managing a team of 5+
• Strong data leadership with experience influencing decisions at executive level
• Experience with fraud detection, financial crime, or risk domains is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-disciplinary team of Data Scientists and Data Analysts
• Drive data strategy and data-driven decisions across product, risk and engineering
• Hire, mentor and grow talent; translate business needs into analytics deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data collection supports insights and product decisions
