Job summary

Monzo is seeking a Data Science Manager to lead a team of Data Scientists and other Data professionals. You will set strategic direction, partner with Product and Engineering, and drive data-driven decisions across product areas.

You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure data is central to problem definition and product decisions, delivering measurable impact and high-quality analytical outputs. Relocation and UK remote options are supported, with a flexible working culture.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing and developing Data Scientists.
• Strong strategic data leader who uses data to influence decisions and direction.
• Experience partnering with senior stakeholders across functions and levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and grow a team of Data Scientists and other Data professionals.
• Hire, coach and retain top talent while creating an environment for growth.
• Set the Data Science direction for your area and identify where data can impact customers and business.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and senior stakeholders to shape strategy and product direction.
• Bring analytical rigour to complex problems and convert them into actionable opportunities.
• Ensure the team uses appropriate approaches from experimentation to ML modelling.
• Translate insights into measurable customer, product and commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate with Analytics Engineering and ML to provide data and tooling support.
• Contribute to Monzo's broader Data Science discipline and raise the bar for practice.
