Monzo is hiring a Lead Data Scientist to accelerate user engagement and build the bank of the future. You'll shape data strategy, enable real-time analytics, and empower teams with self-serve insights in Looker across Borrowing, Growth, Payments, FinCrime, Wealth and Core squads.

The role offers London or Barcelona offices, with UK remote work and distributed options within the UK. Relocation and visa sponsorship are available, along with a learning budget and flexible hours to support work-life

Qualifications

• Experience leading data science teams in a product-focused company.
• Strong data-driven decision making and experimentation.
• Mentor data scientists and analytics engineers.
• Proven ability to work with product, engineering, design and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data strategy and continue to evolve Monzo for our customers to make it magically simple to manage money day-to-day.
• Develop and execute best practices for experimentation enabling our team to make data informed decisions.
• Collaboratively set standards and work with data across Monzo, fostering knowledge sharing and continuously improving data practices.
• Work closely with leaders in product, engineering, design and research to build and iterate on product ideas.
