Job summary

MYO Talent is seeking an experienced Data Science Lead/Manager to own 2–3 high-profile data science projects, shaping direction, scope and deliverables while engaging senior stakeholders and technical teams.

You’ll combine hands-on Python with advanced AI/ML, GenAI and Agentic AI approaches, operating in a hybrid – remote environment within the UK. A Master’s in a quantitative field is preferred, with strong leadership and communication skills to drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline preferred; exceptional Bachelor’s candidates or those completing a Master’s will be considered.
• Strong Data Science background with progression into Lead/Manager roles and proven project leadership.
• Experience in large, complex, regulated organisations (utilities, energy, financial services, telecoms) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead multiple data science projects from concept through delivery.
• Shape project direction, scope, priorities and deliverables.
• Work across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups with clarity.
• Hands-on Python when required.
• Apply modern AI/ML, GenAI and Agentic AI approaches.
• Work with cloud technologies – Azure strongly desirable.
• Demonstrate excellent data science, AI/ML, GenAI and Agentic AI understanding.
• Lead in large, complex organisations, focusing on governance and stakeholder management.
• Communicate effectively and provide strong leadership across teams.
• Cloud experience, ideally Azure, with a curious, commercially minded approach.
