Job summary

Devon and Cornwall Police is seeking a Data Quality Advisor for Camborne Police Station on a temporary ongoing basis. The role is Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with hybrid working once trained (minimum 3 days in the office).

The advisor will ensure information in NICHE complies with Data Protection legislation and MoPI guidance, maintaining data quality, accuracy, relevance and timeliness, and will be the first line of decision making for records data quality or retention status.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MoPI and Data Protection/GDPR.
• Experience researching and analysing data quality.
• Proficient with MS Office suites.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail with a methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure NICHE data complies with Data Protection legislation and MoPI guidance.
• Act as first line of decision maker on records data quality or retention status.
• Maintain data quality standards within RMS Niche in line with legislation and policies.
• Research force systems to link records to POLE entities (Person, Object, Location, Event).
• Provide specialist advice on Information Standards, Data Quality and RRD as first point of contact.
• Attend meetings and relevant training across force, regionally and nationally.
