Job summary

Devon & Cornwall Police are seeking three Alliance Data Protection Advisors to join the Data Protection Team across Devon, Cornwall and Dorset. Based at Exeter or Winfrith with a hybrid option to work from home up to two days a week after induction.

The role supports compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR, coordinating SARs from receipt to completion and delivering high-quality customer service. Training and professional development are available.

Qualifications

Awareness of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR.
Ability to organise and manage workload with strong attention to detail.
Willingness to work towards the BCS Foundation Certificate in Data Protection funded by the Force.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and process Subject Access Requests from receipt to completion.
Research across multiple systems and verify information.
Provide advice to internal and external customers on data protection matters.
Contribute to awareness sessions and workshops.
Attend meetings across the Forces and develop professional knowledge through training and networking.
