Job summary

QBE Europe is seeking a Data Quality Lead in London to drive end-to-end DQ Issue Management and governance across the DQ portfolio. You will triage, prioritise and progress issues through a governed lifecycle to resolution.

In this hybrid role, you will oversee the central DQ Issues queue, balance analyst capacity and coordinate remediation with business and technology teams while escalating blockers and risks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Quality, Data Management or Data Governance, leading complex issue management/remediation.
• Strong understanding of issue management, root-cause analysis, remediation planning and governance frameworks.
• Ability to prioritise competing demands and allocate capacity based on risk, impact and business priorities.
• Ability to coordinate delivery across business and technical teams without direct management authority.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to provide constructive challenge.
• Ability to translate complex data quality problems into business impacts and actions.
• Experience developing business cases or supporting investment decisions for complex data/remediation would be advantageous.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on sustainable resolution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end DQ Issue Management process from capture to resolution.
• Maintain oversight of central DQ Issues queue with governance, tracking and reporting.
• Prioritise analyst capacity based on risk and business priority.
• Coordinate remediation across business and technology teams with clear ownership and timelines.
• Establish escalation groups to drive decisions and manage material risks.
• Conduct robust root-cause analysis and ensure remediation plans address underlying causes.
• Develop the case for complex remediation requiring investment.
• Provide clear reporting on portfolio progress, ageing, risks and systemic issues.
• Drive continuous improvement of DQ processes, governance and tooling.
