Job summary

Howden is seeking a Head of Data Protection for UK Broking and UK Reinsurance to lead the data protection function. You will develop strategies, oversee risk and regulatory compliance, and drive a training program across the business.

You will collaborate with senior leadership, information security, and internal controls to ensure a robust data protection by design framework, aligned to UK and EU requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide risk-based advice.
• Experience leading multifaceted data protection projects.
• Negotiation and stakeholder management for governance.
• Proven track record in data protection compliance (GDPR/UK GDPR/PECR).
• Experience delivering data protection training and reports to governance committees.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and maintain a robust UK data protection function for Howden UK Broking and UK Reinsurance.
• Provide risk-based advice and guidance on data protection matters across the business.
• Oversee DPIAs, ROPA, KRIs/KCIs and reporting to governance committees.
• Manage relationship with supervisory authorities (ICO) and ensure compliance registrations.
