Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting for a 2-month contract with a Local Authority in Basildon, offering £56 per hour via umbrella. You will work with the Information and Compliance Manager and Data Protection Officer to handle information requests, including SARs, FOI and EIR, ensuring compliance with data protection and information governance laws.

The role is on site for 3 days per week, 36.25 hours weekly, with bi‑weekly payments.

Qualificações

• Experience in local authority or public sector environment.
• Hands-on experience managing SARs, FOI, and EIR requests.
• Proficiency in applying Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Information and Compliance Manager and Data Protection Officer in adhering to data protection and information governance laws.
• Oversee and respond to information rights requests, including SARs, FOI, and EIR requests.
• Evaluate exemptions and redact sensitive or personal data before releasing documents.
• Ensure all information requests are processed accurately and within legal timeframes.
• Offer clear and authoritative guidance to colleagues on data protection and information governance issues.
• Advise on data privacy risks related to processing activities, considering their nature, scope, context, and purpose.
• Help review and update procedures, policies, privacy notices, and contracts related to personal data processing.
