Job summary

G2 Legal Limited in Aberdeen seeks a Data & Digital Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join its team. You will advise on data protection, privacy and commercial matters for a diverse client base, handling DSARs and data rights requests and drafting data processing agreements.

You will work on UK GDPR, EU GDPR and PECR issues, information governance and IT/IP matters, while building strong client relationships and contributing to the growth of the practice.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' PQE in data protection, privacy and information law.
• Experience handling DSARs and complex data subject rights requests.
• Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR and PECR.
• Experience drafting commercial contracts and advising on data and digital matters.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on UK GDPR, EU GDPR, PECR and privacy matters.
• Manage DSARs, scope, review, redact and disclose data subject rights requests.
• Support privacy compliance projects, data mapping, DPIAs, international data transfers and incident response.
• Draft and negotiate data processing and data sharing agreements.
• Advise on IT, digital and intellectual property matters.
• Build strong client relationships and provide commercially focused advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas for integrated solutions.
• Contribute to client training, business development and practice growth.
