Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard in Aberdeen is seeking an Associate (3+ PQE) to join our expanding Data & Digital team. You will work closely with colleagues across UK offices on data protection, privacy, and related commercial matters.

You will lead on DSARs and data subject rights programmes for major organisations, advising on UK GDPR, EU GDPR and regulatory frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' PQE in data protection, privacy and information law.
• Strong experience handling DSARs and data subject rights.
• Experience advising UK GDPR, EU GDPR and related regulatory frameworks.
• Based in Aberdeen.

• Join a nationally recognised Data & Digital practice
• Advise leading clients across retail, technology, healthcare, sports and financial services
• Lead on complex data protection, privacy and commercial matters
• Play a key role in managing DSARs and data subject rights programmes for major organisations
• Work on GDPR compliance, international data transfers, cyber regulation, AI governance and privacy operations
• Collaborate with colleagues across commercial, disputes, employment and legal tech teams
• Build trusted client relationships and help shape the future of our data offering

We're keen to speak with lawyers who have:

• 3+ years' PQE in data protection, privacy and information law
• Strong experience handling DSARs and wider data subject rights matters
• Commercial awareness and a practical, solution-focused approach
• Experience advising on UK GDPR, EU GDPR and related regulatory frameworks
• You must be based in Aberdeen for this role
