Job Description

The Data Protection & Commercial Counsel will be a key member of the Legal team, advising on complex contractual privacy matters and providing commercial drafting support. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice on privacy and data protection issues
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
  • Advising stakeholders on regulatory impacts
  • Monitoring changes in the regulatory landscape
  • Collaborating with the Data Protection Officer and team on operational escalations
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as IT, SaaS, IP, and consultancy agreements
  • Managing staff training on privacy and data protection
  • Representing the organization in privacy inquiries or investigations
Candidate Profile

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with an up-to-date practising certificate. Ideally, you will have:

  • Approximately 4 years of PQE
  • Experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector
  • Knowledge of data protection advisory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in managing complex projects
