Job summary

Derbyshire Constabulary is seeking a Data Protection and Information Security Support Officer to strengthen data protection and manage information security risk. You will gather information, perform assessments, and implement controls to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.

You’ll produce contracts, conduct impact assessments, identify risks, and help distribute new policies across the organisation, supporting a secure and compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in data protection, physical security or IT security.
• Ability to research, assess, prepare and present information to a high standard.
• Administrative skills such as preparing reports, contracts/agreements and management information.

Responsibilities

Strengthen information security and protect our data.

Join us as a Data Protection & Information Security Support Officer where you’ll gather information and carry out assessments surrounding data protection and risk management to ensure the force remains compliant with legislation and national standards. You’ll also work collaboratively to identify vulnerabilities and threats, implement security controls and deliver solutions that reduce risk.

You’ll be
