Job summary

XPS Group in Manchester seeks a skilled Data Programmer for Implementation Services (IST). You'll design, build, and maintain data systems, blending programming with advanced SQL to deliver reliable data solutions that support decision making across the business.

You will develop, optimise, and maintain ETL scripts, gather requirements, document specifications, and work with analysts and clients to translate needs into technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL including complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Familiarity with ETL tools or frameworks.
• Understanding of relational databases and data modelling.
• Ability to work with large datasets and optimise query performance.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and maintain SQL ETL scripts.
• Gather requirements and translate them into specs.
• Document and test data solutions with clear strategies.
• Collaborate with analysts and business teams to support decision making.
