Job summary

Legend is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to join our Legal team in Saint Helier, focusing on Data Privacy. You’ll manage day-to-day privacy matters, draft and review agreements, and contribute to broader legal work while collaborating with product, technology, and commercial teams.

The role offers growth through exposure to international data matters and various data protection issues. Ideal candidates will have 1–3 years PQE as a Solicitor in England & Wales, plus practical privacy

Qualifications

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 1–3 years PQE.
Some practical experience in Data Privacy or DP work.
Experience drafting/commercial contracts.
Interest in building a Data Privacy specialism.
Ability to research legal questions and explain findings to non-lawyers.
Commercially minded with good judgement.
Curiosity and attention to detail.
Experience in tech, SaaS, gaming or data-rich business is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day Data Privacy support and practical advice to international teams.
Maintain and improve privacy processes and documentation (ROPA, DPAs, transfers).
Collaborate on new initiatives, identifying privacy considerations and next steps.
Draft/review privacy-related agreements and commercial contracts.
Support broader Legal work alongside privacy responsibilities.
Identify opportunities to simplify and improve privacy guidance and processes.
