Job summary

AECOM in London is seeking an enthusiastic Data & Automation Analyst to join our hybrid team. You’ll help automate data workflows, build Power BI dashboards and explore project data for insights.

You’ll collaborate with project teams, learn SQL, maintain documentation and contribute to data quality, with opportunities to shape reporting and tooling across the Buildings & Places group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• Training within Design and Information Management will be provided; other industries welcoming applicants.
• Power BI: Basic to intermediate proficiency, data modelling and DAX a plus.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to understand project-level issues.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, especially in data analysis, automation and programming concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Creative mindset to develop innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of Project Management methodologies e.g. Agile, Waterfall.

Responsibilities

• Automation Development: develop automated data processes and ETL workflows from project sources.
• Power BI Development: create dashboards/reports, translate requirements into visuals, contribute to data models.
• Data Exploration & Analysis: identify trends and anomalies in project data.
• Software Development Support: assist in developing project tools, learn SQL and data manipulation.
• Creative Problem Solving: propose innovative data solutions.
• Documentation: maintain documentation for processes, reports and data models.
• Data Quality: contribute to data accuracy and integrity.
