Job summary

Transport for London seeks a Data Reporting & Analytics Specialist to lead design, development and application of advanced reporting and analytics solutions. You will translate complex operational challenges into scalable insights across modules of the Elizabeth Line and beyond.

The role requires hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure Databricks and Python, plus automation via Power Automate and Power Apps. Hybrid work arrangement with a mix of office/home, salary around £60k.

Qualifications

Proven ability to gather, interpret, and translate business requirements into effective analytical outputs.
Advanced skills in a business intelligence tool (preferably Power BI) with the ability to transform and manipulate data using Power Query, M, and DAX languages.
Skilled in using Power Automate and Microsoft Power Apps to automate business processes, collect, analyze, and summarize data, and streamline workflows, approval flows, and data transfer processes.
Comfortable working within Azure environments to support scalable data solutions, including provisioning and configuring Azure Databricks workspaces.
Proficient in leveraging programming languages (preferably Python) with an understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
Strong communication skills to convey complex data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Provide insight and analysis of asset, reliability and performance data to influence decision-making across the Elizabeth Line.
Design, develop, and maintain advanced data reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, Azure Databricks, and Python.
Develop automated workflows and applications using Power Automate and Power Apps to streamline business processes and improve data accessibility.
Integrate and manage data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and governance.
Implement best practices for solution design, performance optimization, and governance within Power Platform and Azure.
Act as technical authority for analytics and data engineering solutions, guiding architecture and standards.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities where data analytics unlock performance improvement.
