Job summary

Starr is seeking a Data Project Manager to lead the PMO for a data portfolio as part of a major data and analytics transformation in London. You will oversee around 20 projects, set governance standards and report portfolio health to senior stakeholders across underwriting, claims and finance.

The role requires Azure DevOps expertise and strong multi-project delivery skills. You will partner with the Head of Data Engineering and Delivery and the Chief Data and Digital Officer to align projects

Qualifications

• Proven track record of running a PMO or managing a complex portfolio.
• Experience delivering technical projects end to end and within time/budget.
• Strong background in data, analytics or digital transformation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for planning and reporting.
• Practical experience with (Scaled) Agile frameworks in multi-team delivery.
• Experience presenting to executives and steering committees.
• Experience managing multi-project risks and dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of assigned projects end to end, from initiation to closure.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget and resources on those projects.
• Maintain portfolio reporting and governance frameworks.
• Lead resource planning and allocation for the data portfolio.
• Run risk/issue management and cross-project dependency coordination.
• Facilitate portfolio review meetings and Steering Committees.
