Job summary

Zebra Technologies seeks a hands-on Data Platform Engineer/Oracle EBS Application DBA to manage Oracle 19c databases and EBS 12.2.x on Linux, with WebLogic and OCI experience. This role supports cloud and on‑prem deployments and requires experience with IaC tools like Terraform.

The position involves collaboration across teams, with hybrid work options in Lincolnshire, IL or Holtsville, NY and a path toward architecture leadership. Strong problem‑solving and security focus are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in core DBA responsibilities for Oracle 19c or newer RAC on Linux/Unix.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.2.x administration including upgrades and support.
• Proven proficiency with Oracle WebLogic Server lifecycle management.
• Strong Linux/Unix skills and shell scripting.
• Experience building automations for large distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as escalation point for Oracle EBS and database issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within EBS and integrated apps.
• Manage E-Business Suite 12.2.x, WebLogic, and Oracle Database 19c.
• Perform patching, cloning, backup, and recovery tasks.
• Deploy/upgrade/relocate/decommission database servers on‑prem and cloud.
• Define database strategy, standards, and procedures to safeguard data.
• Maintain security controls and data integrity across platforms.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and product roadmaps.
