Job summary

Yoto is hiring a Staff Data Platform Engineer to lead the architecture, reliability and growth of our end-to-end data platform. You will shape how data infrastructure scales as we expand, working with data science, analytics and software teams to translate business needs into platform capabilities.

You will define the roadmap, enforce data governance standards, and mentor a mid-level engineer while elevating the wider data team through architectural discipline and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience delivering end-to-end data platform solutions.
• Proven ability to design scalable data architectures and pipelines.
• Experience designing production data platforms on cloud infrastructure and orchestration layers.
• Ability to document architecture decisions with clear trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, reliability and long-term health of the data platform at Yoto.
• Define and maintain the data platform roadmap aligned with company strategy.
• Collaborate with data science, analytics, product and software teams.
• Set standards for data governance, access controls and data quality.
• Lead and grow a mid-level data engineer with coaching and code reviews.
