A high performing, multi-billion dollar AUM hedge fund is looking to hire a Data Analyst into their growing centralised Data Management team.
This role reports to the Global Head of Data and involves working closely with Operations, Product Control, Risk, Trading, and Research teams to ensure smooth data transmission. It has a technical/engineering focus, optimizing data pipeline operations and quality management, from raw data onboarding to delivery to front office/investment teams.
You will utilize languages such as SQL, Python, VBA, or Matlab to perform quality checks and identify anomalies in complex datasets. You will serve as the main interface between data sourcing and data engineering and act as the point of contact for Traders.
The role also involves working on ad hoc projects with front office and technology teams, testing new dataset onboarding platforms, setting data governance metrics, and developing a centralized data management platform.
Candidates should have 2–7 years of experience as a Data Operations Specialist, Data Solutions Analyst, or Data Governance Analyst in a hedge fund, asset management firm, or major data vendor. A strong academic background and experience with advanced programming languages analyzing large datasets within a financial services data team are required.
The position offers a base salary of up to £125K plus a performance bonus. Initially, the role requires a 5-day office week, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days per week once established.
