Job summary

Comxps Ltd in Bristol is seeking a data migration and governance specialist to support a Government Client. The role is 3 days per week in Bristol with travel to London/Reading as required, counted as office days.

You will lead data migration activities, ensure data quality, establish governance and manage multiple stakeholder groups across business, technical and delivery partner teams. SC clearance preferred and ability to handle change across programmes will be essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or coordinating data migration and data quality activities in complex programmes.
• Strong understanding of data migration principles including profiling, cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation and cutover readiness.
• Experience with large datasets and identifying data quality issues with practical actions.
• Ability to establish governance and controls to improve data quality and confidence.
• Ability to lead through others, set direction and manage priorities across stakeholders.
• Stakeholder management across business, technical and delivery partner teams.
• Ability to communicate complex data issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with evidence-based recommendations.
• Understanding of data protection and information security for sensitive data.
• Comfort working in a changing programme with ambiguity, risks and dependencies.

Salary: £To be confirmed on application (our client has asked for this not to be advertised).

Location: Bristol - 3 Days per Week. Travel: London / Reading when required (Will count as office day)

Contracting Authority: Government Client

Contract Length: 31st March 2027 (Potential to extend to 12 Months)

Clearance: SC preferred - Can consider SC lapsed/eligible for SC

Essential

• Experience leading or coordinating data migration, data management, data cleansing or data quality activity in a complex programme or transformation environment.
• Strong understanding of data migration principles, including data profiling, cleansing, mapping, validation, reconciliation and cutover readiness.
• Experience working with large or complex datasets, with the ability to identify data quality issues and turn analysis into practical action.
• Experience establishing governance, controls or assurance arrangements to improve data quality, consistency and confidence.
• Ability to lead through others, set direction, manage priorities and maintain delivery grip across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across business, technical and delivery partner teams.
• Ability to communicate complex data or technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and the ability to make evidence-based recommendations.
• Understanding of data protection, information security and the need to handle sensitive people data appropriately.
• Confidence working in a changing programme environment, managing ambiguity, risks, issues and dependencies.
