Job summary

Identify Solutions in Swansea is seeking an experienced Data Lead to own the organisation-wide data strategy and shape its data capability. As the most senior data professional, you'll influence governance, data management, and the transformation programme.

You will build a data-driven culture, drive a Microsoft Fabric/Azure platform, and partner with senior stakeholders to deliver meaningful insight and social impact across South Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data strategy and governance.
• Proven ability to drive data transformation or maturity programmes.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and executives.
• Experience with data migration, integration and ETL.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Azure.
• Proficiency in Power BI, SQL and related Microsoft data tech.
• Experience building data teams, capabilities or operating models.

Data LeadSwansea - Hybrid, minimum 2 days onsiteUp to £65,000 plus benefits including 12% pension

We're looking for an experienced Data Lead to take ownership of an organisation wide data strategy and help shape the future of its data capability. As the organisation's most senior dedicated data professional, you'll have the freedom to influence how data is governed, managed and used, while playing a key role in a major transformation programme. This is an opportunity to build on strong foundations, challenge existing approaches and create a data capability that delivers meaningful insight and better decision making across the organisation.

You'll be an experienced data leader who combines strategic thinking with enough technical understanding to provide credibility and direction.

Ideally, you'll have experience across:

• Influencing senior and executive stakeholders
• Data migration, integration and ETL
• Modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Azure
• Power BI, SQL and wider Microsoft data technologies
• Building data teams, capability or operating models

You don't need to personally build every solution. What matters most is your ability to set the direction, challenge effectively, influence stakeholders and bring people with you.
