Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College are seeking an External Reporting and Data Quality Officer to support statutory returns, regulatory reporting and data quality activities that underpin key university operations.

You will analyse, validate and maintain institutional data, collaborate with academic and professional service teams and help deliver regulatory deadlines while promoting best practice in data management.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high quality work.
• Ability to identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement in data.
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Confident communication with a wide range of stakeholders and clear explanation of information.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and comfortable working with databases and information systems.
• Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes and regulatory requirements.
• Experience of data administration, validation or reporting activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of statutory returns, regulatory reporting and data quality activities underpinning key university operations.
• Analyse, validate and maintain institutional data to ensure accuracy for reporting.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues to improve integrity across the organisation.
• Collaborate with academic and professional services teams to support data management and reporting.
• Produce and contribute to management information supporting planning and decision making.
• Assist with development and maintenance of reporting processes, documentation and QA activities.
• Monitor compliance with reporting requirements and support timely regulatory deadlines.
• Develop expertise in Higher Education data, reporting requirements and sector best practice.
