Job summary

SGN is seeking a Data & Insights PMO Analyst to support a large, multi-year transformation within Operations. You will collect, validate and present project data, transforming it into actionable insights for senior leaders using Power BI and Excel.

You will also help with governance, planning, and reporting across the PMO. The role involves hybrid work (2-3 days in the office) with occasional UK travel, and benefits including pension, enhanced maternity leave, life assurance, and employee

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a PMO Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role within a portfolio office.
• Advanced Power BI skills (dashboard development and data modelling).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas).
• Strong data analysis and interpretation capability.
• Experience producing senior-level reports and dashboards.
• Ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
• High attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Experience working with PPM and reporting tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
• Experience working across traditional (PRINCE2) and Agile/Lean delivery environments, supporting hybrid delivery models.
• Experience working in utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or other regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Data Collection & Management: Collect, validate, and maintain high-quality project and portfolio data across multiple initiatives.
• Data Analysis & Insight Generation: Analyse project performance data, identify trends, risks, and issues, provide data-driven insights.
• Dashboarding & Visualisation: Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards; develop advanced Excel models for analysis.
• Assurance & Compliance: Use data to assess PMO compliance and provide evidence-based insights.
• PMO Support & Continuous Improvement: Contribute across PMO service areas and promote best practices.
• PMO Support & Collaboration: Support governance, planning, RAID and change control; collaborate to improve processes.
