Job summary

Applause IT Recruitment is seeking a Data & Insights Engineer to join our growing Data & Analytics function. The role blends hands-on Power BI development with data engineering, modelling and transformation, spanning the data lifecycle from shaping datasets to delivering reporting and insights used across Operations, Finance, HR and the wider organisation.

You’ll work across BI and data engineering, with exposure to modern data platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience across engineering and reporting layers.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL and data modelling.
• Knowledge of modern data platforms and data governance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
• Building and optimising DAX calculations and data models
• Developing data pipelines using SQL and modern data platforms
• Transforming and modelling data for scalable reporting
• Improving data quality, consistency and governance
• Integrating data from multiple systems and sources
• Working directly with stakeholders to turn complex requirements into useful insights
• Helping shape reporting, data architecture and governance as the function continues to mature
