Job summary

Allica Bank is seeking a data analyst to join the newly formed business intelligence team, building analytics and insights capabilities across the bank. You will work with Finance, Operations, Credit Risk, Product and management to understand data, tell stories with insights and support data-driven decisions.

You will translate business needs into robust dashboards and ETL pipelines, collaborate with engineering and data stakeholders, and help embed a data-driven mindset across the company.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a data analyst in a start-up or fast-paced organisation.
• You have a proven track record with SQL and writing queries (GCP/BigQuery Preferred).
• You have a solid foundation in Python programming or a strong desire to learn with basic knowledge already achieved.
• You are flexible to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a very dynamic environment and work well with stakeholders across the business.
• You communicate effectively and are comfortable with translating technical detail into business and commercial language.

Responsibilities

• Understand our products and processes through the data we have or collect.
• Help the various stakeholders leverage your knowledge of that data to build reporting that will improve their KPI’s.
• Originate, maintain and enhance data analytics ETL’s.
• Build dashboards and reports (Looker).
• Work with product teams and other stakeholders (Ops, finance, risk, etc) to understand their data needs and deliver their data requests.
• Develop and maintain data standards, always managing the data libraries and dictionaries, documenting your findings and sharing them both within and outside the data team.
• Helping us implement a data-driven mindset in the company.
