Job summary

Allica Bank is seeking a Data Analyst to help understand and illuminate data across Finance, Operations, Credit Risk and Product. You will tell stories with insights and contribute to the bank’s BI capabilities.

You will join a newly formed business intelligence team and build analytics capabilities to drive data-driven decision making across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience as a data analyst in a start-up or fast-paced organisation.
• Strong SQL skills with ability to write queries (GCP/BigQuery preferred).
• Basic Python proficiency or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Understand products and processes through available data.
• Create reports and dashboards to improve KPIs for stakeholders.
• Originates, maintains and enhances data analytics ETLs.
• Build dashboards and reports using Looker.
• Collaborate with product, Ops, Finance and Risk to deliver data requests.
• Develop and maintain data standards, libraries and dictionaries.

Principal Accountabilities

• Understand our products and processes through the data we have or collect

• Help the various stakeholders leverage your knowledge of that data to build reporting that will improve their KPI’s

• Originate, maintain and enhance data analytics ETL’s.

• Build dashboards and reports (Looker)

• Work with product teams and other stakeholders (Ops, finance, risk, etc) to understand their data needs and deliver their data requests.

• Develop and maintain data standards, always managing the data libraries and dictionaries, documenting your findings and sharing them both within and outside the data team.

• Helping us implement a data-driven mindset in the company.

Personal Attributes & Experience

• Previous experience working as a data analyst in a start-up or fast-paced organisation.

• You have a proven track record with SQL and writing querie (GCP/BigQuery Preferred).

• You have a solid foundation in Python programming or a strong desire to learn with basic knowledge already achieved.

• You are flexible to adapt quickly to changing priorities within a very dynamic environment and work well with stakeholders across the business.

• You communicate effectively and are comfortable with translating technical detail into business and commercial language.
