Job summary

Milton Keynes City Council is recruiting Business Intelligence Officers to join our Children’s Services team. You will deliver high-quality BI, analysis and research to support planning for children, young people and families across the city.

You’ll analyse data, identify trends and provide insights that help colleagues make informed decisions and improve services. This role offers flexible working arrangements, with home/office days as required, and opportunities to influence future service

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience with complex datasets.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex information clearly.
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into practical recommendations.
• Genuine interest in exploring information and identifying patterns.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and take ownership.
• Collaborative approach aligned with dedicated, respectful values.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide high-quality business intelligence to support service planning.
• Analyse complex data, identify trends and future pressures to improve services.
• Produce accessible, accurate reports for managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure statutory returns and performance information are completed accurately and on time.
• Research data collection and analysis methods using management information systems.
• Support data quality, data security and information-sharing with partners.
