Job summary

Blackpool Council is seeking an analytically minded data analyst to support Children’s Services. You will provide data, analysis and reporting to help senior leaders and frontline teams understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive better outcomes for children and families in Blackpool.

You will work with large datasets, produce dashboards and visualisations, and help prepare statutory returns and national data collections.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with large datasets.
• Experience of SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools.
• Knowledge of local government or Children’s Services would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide data, analysis and reporting support to Children’s Services and senior leaders.
• Help identify opportunities for improvement and support decision-making to improve outcomes for children and families in Blackpool.
• Produce dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights clearly.
• Assist with statutory returns and national data collections.
