Job summary

Blackpool Council is seeking an analytically minded data analyst to support Children’s Services. You will provide data, analysis and reporting to help senior leaders and frontline teams understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and drive better outcomes for children and families in Blackpool.

You will work with large datasets, produce dashboards and visualisations, and help prepare statutory returns and national data collections.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with large datasets.
• Experience of SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools.
• Knowledge of local government or Children’s Services would be beneficial.

Job description

You'll provide data, analysis and reporting support to Children's Services, helping senior leaders and operational teams understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and make informed decisions which improve outcomes for children and families across Blackpool. You'll also play a key role in producing statutory returns and national data collections.

We're looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience of working with large datasets, and the ability to communicate insight clearly through reports, dashboards and visualisations. Experience of SQL, Power BI or similar analytical tools is essential. Knowledge of local government or Children's Services would be beneficial.
