Strong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK and UK GDPR is required, with stakeholder management to influence across the organisation. The position is hybrid, onsite 3x per week in Southampton, offering £70,000 plus benefits and opportunities to shape governance

Qualifications

• Experience building data governance frameworks from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of DAMA DMBOK (or an equivalent framework).
• Strong understanding of UK GDPR.
• Experience turning data quality, metadata, lineage and stewardship into operational processes.
• Experience with data governance technologies (Purview, data catalogues, MDM).
• Confidence operating across Microsoft, SAP and cloud environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and establish an enterprise data governance capability from the ground up.
• Lead through influence and build relationships across the organisation to drive governance.
• Partner with business units to implement governance controls and improve data quality.
