Job summary

ICIS is seeking a Data Governance Coordinator to ensure data assets are treated as products, with governance, quality, metadata, and standards consistently applied across the data estate. You will bridge central data capabilities and Data Stewards to support adoption of governance practices.

You will help improve transparency, drive trust in data across the organisation, and coordinate across business, engineering, and central teams to elevate data governance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting data governance activities across datasets or products.
• Understanding of ownership, stewardship, metadata management, and data catalog practices.
• Knowledge of data quality principles and monitoring approaches.
• Ability to review governance compliance and support standards implementation.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
• Excellent communication to explain data governance concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Oversee datasets and data products across the Lakehouse and data estate.
• Ensure data products have clear ownership via Data Stewards.
• Track completeness, maturity, and usability of data products.
• Adhere to enterprise data governance standards and elevate when needed.
• Embed governance into delivery and change processes.
• Drive completeness, quality, and discoverability of metadata and catalog info.
• Monitor data quality outcomes, identify gaps, and aid prioritization.
• Promote transparency through data lineage and coordination across teams.
