Job summary

ITV is seeking a hands-on Data Governance Lead to shape and execute our governance strategy across data assets, ensuring quality, security and regulatory compliance. The role sits in a central data function, reporting to the Chief Data and AI Officer, with a hybrid setup in London.

You will establish enterprise data policies, manage ownership and stewardship, and partner with business and tech teams to embed governance into workflows.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data governance and data protection regulation (GDPR).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data platforms and data catalog tooling.
• Ability to align governance with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Define data governance goals, policies, and standards
• Establish and monitor data quality metrics to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability
• Ensure GDPR compliance and data protection
• Partner with data owners, stewards, and business leaders to drive adoption of governance practices
• Collaborate with data architecture, engineering and platform teams to embed governance into technical workflows
• Promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability through training and education programs
